Here is the honest advice we give on the phone: a stand-alone path is the most expensive way to buy path metres, because a small pour still carries a truck, a crew and a day. What do concrete paths cost in Pakenham?

Why is my new estate home's side yard still dirt?

How thick should a path be?
Our floor is 75mm, and anywhere a vehicle can cross, a gate strip, a layback, in front of a shed door, it steps up to 100mm with the mesh to match. A footpath poured thin is the cheapest thing on a quote and the most expensive thing on your block once a trailer finds it.
Can a path fix drainage along the side of the house?
Often, yes. A side strip poured with deliberate fall picks up water that used to sit against the wall and walks it to a drain or daylight. What a path must never do is tip water at the house, which is why our falls are set from real levels at the measure rather than by eye on the day.
